The video card is by far the most difficult to choose based on the wide range and variety of cards available. We use two major manufacturers for our systems, ATI and nVidia. The amount of RAM on the card determines how much video power you will have to run picture editing software and games. The cards are further separated into “chipset” types which also add enhanced features for input/output and speed measured in frames per second. The standard 32MB onboard video is good enough for those using their computers in an office setting or for those who need a cost effective system for surfing the web and doing word processing. The 32MB onboard comes at no extra cost to you. The AGP Cards listed also come in different slot speeds, both 4x and 8x. The motherboard needs to match the card to attain the highest video speeds, we will help with the selection of the motherboard if some components chosen are incompatible.
